Hi Arnaud,

I was planning to also try various tubing materials in the future. This paper has a nice comparison of a few different capillary types which you might want to have a look at.

Good luck!

Dylan

Hi Arnaud,

I've never used it with OpenSPIM, or on a lightsheet system having a similar design for mounting, but CyGel or CyGel Sustain from BioStatus might work. It offers improved optical clarity over agarose. Also, it is a liquid at cold and becomes a solid at room temperature or higher, making it easy to recover live samples. Its main drawback is cost but otherwise I really liked it when I tried it on a confocal and on a lattice lightsheet with live squid embryos and hatchlings.

I'd be curious to know how it goes, if you or others give it a try - or have tried it.

Good luck!

Dear all,

I wanted to know if anyone would have experience with any alternative to agarose or FEP tube for embedding and imaging samples?
I am currently thinking of using Gelrite, but any suggestion would be more than welcome.

Thanks!
