[OpenSPIM] thicker light sheet

Dear all,

just to make sure that my understanding of optics is not failing me: if I  
want to have a thicker (and more uniform) light sheet, but with the same  
height (same FOV), I can
-use a slit, losing power and introducing diffraction pattern
-exchange illumination objective into lower magnification (losing money ;)  
)

are there other options?
