This bug has been fixed now: it was a bug in the command-line version of 
the updater (that is used in Micro-Manager's automatic population of the 
update site from its nightly builds), and that bug was exposed by a 
faulty upload of the xml-apis.jar to the ImageJ update site itself.

I have fixed both, and uploaded the fixed updater on Friday; As of 
yesterday (Saturday), things are groovy again.
