[OpenSPIM] stradus laser in OpenSPIM

Thanks for the reply. It worked. I was finally able to open the Spim acquisition plugin and take images with the microscope. I am running Fiji on a Windows 7 32 bit machine with the Stradus laser. I still have an issue. The Stradus laser power cannot be modulated by the Spim acquisition window. The laser power slider doesn't do anything. Any advice?

Cheers

Oh, Yes. we solved the problem, as the suggestion http://openspim.org/pipermail/openspim/2014-May/000408.html

Since the Stradus device adapter is "secret", my ability to help is limited.
My suggestion is:
- First, please make sure you are using the Stradus device adapter
(mmgr_dal_Stradus.dll) from the 5 February 2014 nightly build of
Micro-Manager[1].
- Run OpenSPIM, but before clicking "Acquire SPIM Image", create a pixel
size:
- On Micro-Manager, click "Tools -> Pixel Size Calibration..."
- Click "New"
- Set Label to "Uncalibrated"
- Set Pixel Size (um/pixel) to 1.00
- Across from "Core - Initialize" click "Use" checkbox.
- Click "OK".
- Try "Acquire SPIM Image" again.

I am experiencing the same problem that you described in a posting on the Openspim forum in June:

"Dear Sir,

We used a stradus laser in OpenSPIM. But we cannot open the Acquire OpenSPIM

option from Micro-manager. The settings can be seen in attachments. It

always shows error like "Error in device VLTStradus: Duplicate property

names are not allowed"

Now we use one stradus laser with wavelength 561 nm, I cannot understand

where "duplicate property names" happens.

Another problem is the information in Corelog20140430 that "Startup script

file (C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Fiji.app/MMStartup.bsh) not present." I do not

know why miss this file MMSartup.bsh. How handle it?

Could you help us? Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Zuomin Zhao

Were you able to solve this problem and move on?

Cheers

mike

Dear Michael,

What ”duplicate properties”? Could you tell more detail about your problem?

Regards,

Zuomin

Dear Dr. Zhoa,
I am building a SPIM microscope with a stradus laser. I am experiencing the same "duplicate properties" error that you reported last June on the openspim forum. Did you solve this problem? If so I would be much obliged if you would share the solution with me.

thanks--
