No. I install it either in C:\openspim-dev-env\ or in C:\Users\User\Desktop\openspim-dev-env\

Everything is local.

Yes the script checks out 'micromanager'.
I have found the origin of the problem: I had not put the openspim.sh in /etc/profile.d and executed the script.
Now I have put it there and then launched git-bash.sh (which I assumed was the master script invoked by the executable archive).
It is now installing everything it needs in src/, install the shortcuts and build everything without any problems.

On another note, my implementation of the shutter APIs into the Cobolt are functional. I have recompiled it with the proper MM base code and it loads and runs seamlessly in OpenSPIM.
So in principle our setup is now 100% functional under windows 7 with 'non native' OpenSPIM hardware. :-)
