Hello Michael,
Sorry to hear about your troubles with MicroManger.
We do not have much knowledge of it to help you.
But we know a few people who are.
I copied this email to some of them, maybe one of them will be able to help.
For example, Dr. Kevin Eliceiri (Director, Laboratory for Optical and
Computational Instrumentation) from the University of Wisconsin has been
directly involved with making Micromanager work with the 4D-Stage.
He has been able to help others with this kind of issue, hopefully he will
again.
Thanks

Subject: USB 4D-Stage
Dear Jean,
I am having trouble with micromanager (fiji) communicating with the Picard Z
stage (32bit Windows XP machine). Both the XY and the twister can be added
successfully from the hardward configuration wizard. When I try to add the Z
stage I get an error message?. "Error in Device Picard Z stage: unable to
communicate with the device". Using the Picard Software, the stage appears
to be working fine. There was a string of communication about a similar
problem a few months ago on the Openspim forum. They removed a string of
commands from their build and it solve the problem. I assume that the latest
build has been fixed so I am completely stumped about how to go forward. Do
you have any suggestions?
Cheers
