[OpenSPIM] Light Sheet Beam Profiles at Objective Focus

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody knows a good reference that describes the 
beam profile of the light sheet at the focus of an objective lens. I 
know that Dodt et al have some equations to describe the profile after 
focusing using a cylindrical lens.  How is the profile affected when 
cylindrical lens is focused on the back focal plane of the objective lens?

Buyaert and Dirchx OSA 2009 mention the focus of the cylindrical lens 
being a hyperbola instead of Dodt's standard Gaussian beam waist 
profile.  Which one is correct for the cylindrical lens focus?

Either way, it would be great to know how to correctly model the 
expected light sheet coming out of the objective.
